BALTIMORE, Md. - Stevenson men's track and field sophomore Devonte Williams took third place overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.26 seconds to lead the Mustangs at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational. Stevenson finished 14th overall as a team with nine points.
That time also qualified Williams for the MAC Outdoor Championships.
Senior Nish Patel set a new school record and qualified for MACs in the 5k with a time of 16:09 to place 17th overall.
Junior Tom Ferguson broke his own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:07.15, taking 13th place. His time was less than 17 seconds away from the qualifying time for the MAC Championships.
Senior Shane Skyers took seventh place overall in the triple jump with a leap of 12.69 meters while sophomore Brandon Shepherd took ninth at 12.49 meters. In the long jump, freshman Kyle Rudman posted a mark of 5.28 meters.
Rudman clocked in at 24.59 seconds in the 200-meter dash while junior Garrett Pegg ran a personal best time of 24.68 seconds.
Freshman Travis Kesler had a mark of 12.56 meters in the shot put to take 12th place while tossing the discus 34.60 meters to finish in a tie for 16th.
Salisbury won the team standings with 181 points.
The Mustangs compete next Friday, April 17 at the Morgan State Legacy meet.
