Williams Repeats in 100 and 200 Meters, Named MAC Athlete of the Year

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Stevenson men's track and field sophomore Devonte Williams won both the 100 and 200 meters for the second year in a row and was named Middle Atlantic Conference Co-Athlete of the Year at the 2015 Outdoor Championships hosted by Messiah. 

Williams broke his previous school record in the 100 with a blazing time of 10.69 seconds. He also set a new school mark of 21.41 seconds in the 200 which is currently the third-best time in Division III.

Senior Shane Skyers took ninth place in the finals of the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 12.44 meters while sophomore Brandon Shepherd and freshman Adam Diabagate took 10th and 11th, respectively, with leaps of 12.32 and 12.30 meters.

Senior Nish Patel finished 15th in the 5k with a time of 16:18.56.

Widener won its fourth-straight men's team title with 282 points while the Mustangs finished eighth with 25.

The Mustangs continue their outdoor season on Friday, May 8 at the Don Webster Invitational hosted by Coppin State.
