CANTON, N.Y. - Stevenson men's track and field sophomore Devonte Williams will be competing in the 200-meter dash for the second year in a row at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This year's event will be hosted by St. Lawrence University.

Williams qualifed ninth overall in Division III with his school record time of 21.41 seconds which he set on May 2 en route to winning his second-straight conference title at the 2015 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships.

Williams was named MAC Co-Athlete of the Year after also winning the 100-meter dash at the conference championship meet in a school record time of 10.69 seconds. His time was just .01 seconds off of qualifying in that event as well.

Last year, Williams became the first student-athlete in program history to qualify for nationals when he qualified for both the 200 and 400-meter dash. He did not compete in the 400 due to injury, but did compete in the 200 where he placed 20th overall with a time of 21.95 seconds.

The 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships will be held from May 21-23 at the Merrick-Pinkard Track and Field Complex.

Williams will be competing in the 200m dash preliminaries on Thursday, May 21 at 5:05 pm.
