OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson University men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 10 at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. The women's 6K race is set for 11 am, while the men's 8K competition is set for noon.
The Mustang men are coming off a second place finish at the Middle Atlantic Conference championship on October 27, as Stevenson placed six runners inside the top 25. The Mustangs have aspirations to achieve their best-ever regional finish and earn a bid to next weekend's NCAA championship meet in Winneconne, Wisconsin. Stevenson placed seventh at last year's regional.
Stevenson's women finished a program-best fifth at the MAC championship and had a total of four runners place in the top 30 to earn All-Conference accolades. The Mustangs' best-ever regional finish came in 2015 when they placed 22nd out of 50 teams.
A total of 57 men's teams and 59 women's teams are slated to compete in Saturday's event.
