Men's Cross Country Leads MAC All-Academic Team With Three Selections

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Stevenson University senior Langston Gash and juniors Nikita Kulick and Patrick Watson were all named to the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team released Thursday morning.  The Mustangs were tied with Messiah with three selections apiece on the 11-member team.

Gash, a Biology major, earned the honor for the second time in his career, as he was also selected to the team as a freshman.  This season, Gash was a four-time MAC Runner of the Week and placed 12th at the MAC Championship hosted by Stevenson to earn MAC Second Team All-Conference honors.  Gash is a four-time All-Conference performer.

Kulick, a Criminal Justice major, earned MAC All-Academic honors for the first time in his career.  This season, he was a MAC First Team All-Conference performer after placing 10th at the conference meet.  Last season as a sophomore Kulick placed 22nd at the conference championship to earn MAC Third Team accolades.

Watson, a Criminal Justice major, repeats as a MAC All-Academic selection.  He became the first Stevenson All-American in men's cross country as he placed 15th overall at the NCAA Championship in November.  Watson finished third at the NCAA Mideast Regional to earn his second straight trip to nationals, while he placed second at the MAC Championship to earn First Team honors.

Stevenson finished second at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship for the second straight season.
