Watson Wins Cathcart Invite, Sets Program and Course Record

SALISBURY, Md. - Senior Patrick Watson set a new course and program record at the Don Cathcart Invitational, hosted by Salisbury, with an 8k time of 24:15.21. Watson, who won the race by 57.19 seconds, surpassed his school-record time achieved at last year's NCAA Division III Championships by over 33 seconds. This is the third straight win for Watson, who was recently named ECAC South Runner of the Month for September.

The Mustangs took third place overall out of 15 schools with a team score of 87. Every Stevenson runner achieved a personal best on the flat and fast course at Winter Place Park. 

Senior Nikita Kulick clocked a time of 25:39.84 to take fifth place overall.

Senior Iddriss Iddriss earned 10th overall with a time of 26:02.06, while freshman Samuel Iseman completed the course with a time of 26:48.83. 

Sophomore Anders Chattin clocked a 28:10.34 to complete the team score for Stevenson. Sophomore Taylor Farnsworth finished less than two seconds behind Chattin with a time of 28:12.05.

Freshman Johnathan Womack clocked a 28:30.96, while sophomore Elijah Smith turned in a 29:48.32.

East Stroudsburg took the team title with 44 points.

The Mustangs hit the course next on Saturday, October 19 when they compete in the Rowan Inter-Region Border Battle. The race is set for 11:00 a.m.
