Three Mustangs Named to All-MAC Commonwealth Teams

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Stevenson softball team had three players named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth teams, including senior Erin Stephey who was named to the First Team, announced by the league on Wednesday.

Joining Stephey on the all-conferences teams is sophomore Kayla Briles, who was named to the Second Team, and sophomore Alexandra DiGrande, who earned honorable mention honors.

Stephey earns her second consecutive all-conference nod after being named to the Second Team a season ago. The senior led the team with a .370 batting average, which also ranks 14th in the league. She shared the team lead with 40 hits while ranking first with 33 RBIs, 11 doubles, and five home runs. Stephey totaled 13 multi-hit games and hit .469 (23-for-49) with two outs.

Briles receives her first all-conference award. She finished tied for second with a .354 batting average while setting the single season record with 27 stolen bases. Briles started the season with a hit in 13 of her first 14 games and totaled 11 multi-hit games. She batted .500 (30-for-60) as the leadoff while going 15-for-37 (.405) with runners on.

DiGrande was named to the all-conference team as a utility player. She recorded a .333 batting average while totaling 26 hits, 11 RBIs, nine runs, five doubles, and one home run. DiGrande had six multi-hit games, including a season-high three hits, twice.
