Oppenheimer Picks Up First Career Victory, Mustangs Win Third-Straight McDaniel Fall Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Casey Oppenheimer picked up her first career victory after shooting a career-low score of 77 at the McDaniel Fall Invitational, held at The Bridges Golf Club. The Mustangs won the tournament for the third year in a row with a team score of 336, which was 10 strokes better than second-place Gettysburg.

Sophomore Amanda Perez took second overall with an 81, giving her 10 career top-five finishes.

Junior Laura Rentz carded an 84 to finish tied for fifth overall. Rentz now has 12 top-five finishes for her career. 

MAC Women's Golfer of the Week and junior Emma VanDeCar finished tied for ninth with an 85, while junior Elise Glauser finished a stroke back with an 86.

Both freshman Holly Haber and senior Julia Kline finished the day with rounds of 88. 

The Mustangs tee off next on Tuesday, September 17 when they compete in the Ursinus Fall Invitational, held at the Raven Claw Golf Club.
