ASHLAND, Va. - Sophomore Casey Oppenheimer took first place at the Randolph-Macon Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club, giving her three tournament victories on the season. Oppenheimer, who won the tournament by 11 strokes with a total score of 156 (+14), carded a five-over par 76 to close out the tournament. The Mustangs won the team title by 39 strokes over second-place Pfeiffer University with a two-day score of 669. Stevenson now has three team titles on the season.
Sophomore Amanda Perez took second place overall after carding an 80 (+9) in the final round, giving her a combined score of 167 (+25). Perez now has three top-five finishes on the year.
Senior Julia Kline improved on her opening round score by a stroke with an 85, placing her into a tie for fourth overall. Kline has two top-10 finishes thus far.
Junior Laura Rentz finished the tournament with an 85, giving her a combined score of 175. Rentz, who finished tied for seventh, now has three top 10's this season.
Junior Emma VanDeCar carded an 88 in the final round for the Mustangs.
