No. 19 Mustangs Fall Short in Comeback Bid at No. 17 York (Pa.), Fall 14-9

YORK, Pa. - Led by three goals from Leah Shultz, No. 17 York (Pa.) scored five of the game's final seven goals to break open a two-point game into a 14-9 victory over the 19th-ranked Stevenson women's lacrosse team Wednesday at Kinsley Field.

The Mustangs (4-3, 1-1 CAC), who fell to 3-2 on the road this season, trailed 7-2 late in the first half and 8-4 at halftime after being outshot, 19-9.

Stevenson scored three of the first four goals to start the second half to pull within two at 9-7, but the Spartans answered just 36 seconds after senior Alli Novak (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) scored her first goal of the season to push their lead back to three.
