GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Stevenson women's lacrosse junior trio of Carly Bowes, Mack Ferguson, and Sarah Roerty were all named to the 2019 Division III All-Metro Region Second Team announced on Monday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
A total of 256 student-athletes were honored in Division III with those student-athletes now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams.
The Mustangs, who advanced to their fifth consecutive conference championship game, have had a total of 28 IWLCA All-Region selections since receiving the program's first two in 2008.
Bowes, an All-MAC First Team selection, set the program record with 62 goals this season. She ranks third on the team with 42 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers while adding 20 draw controls and six assists. Bowes recorded a goal in 18 of the team's 19 games this season and recorded at least four goals in nine games.
Ferguson, an All-MAC First Team selection, finished with a career-best 172 saves and a 51.2 save percentage. She allowed a career-low 8.89 goals against average and totaled at least 10 saves in seven games.
Roerty earns her second All-Region selection after earning second team honors as a freshman. This season, she led the team with 52 ground balls and 38 caused turnovers while ranking third with 34 draw controls. Roerty finished the final three games of the season averaging 6.0 ground balls, 3.7 caused turnovers, and 2.7 draw controls.
