ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Stevenson women's lacrosse junior duo of Carly Bowes and Mack Ferguson were named to the Spring Academic All-Midlle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Team announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Spring Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field during the 2019 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success.
Bowes, an All-MAC First Team and IWLCA Division III All-Metro Region Second Team selection, set the program record with 62 goals this season. She ranks third on the team with 42 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers while adding 20 draw controls and six assists. Bowes recorded a goal in 18 of the team's 19 games this season and recorded at least four goals in nine games.
Ferguson, an All-MAC First Team and IWLCA Division III All-Metro Region Second Team selection, finished with a career-best 172 saves and a 51.2 save percentage. She allowed a career-low 8.89 goals against average and totaled at least 10 saves in seven games.
