Mustangs, Two Student-Athletes Earn IWLCA Academic Accolades

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Stevenson women's lacrosse team was one of 152 Division III institutions to be named to the 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads while the Mustangs had two student-athletes named to the IWLCA/Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

A total of 312 programs across Division I, II, III and NAIA were honored. All teams who finished with a team cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher earned the Honor Squad. Stevenson was also one of nine schools in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) to earn the honor.

In addition, a total of 653 student-athletes across 173 institutions were named to the Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 or greater.

The two Mustangs named to the Honor Roll were senior Dana Stevens and junior Carly Bowes. This is the second consecutive year Stevens has been named to the honor roll. The group is a part of the 38 student-athletes from the MAC Commonwealth.
