OWINGS MILLS, Md. - In its final tune-up before the MAC Championships, the Stevenson women's swimming team fell to visiting Arcadia by a 170-84 score on Senior Day at the McDonogh School.
Junior Melanie Milam led the Mustangs with two event victories. Milam took first overall in the 200-Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:18.43. In the 200 Individual Medley, Milam clocked a 2:18.44 to pick up the victory.
To open up the meet, the 200 Medley relay team of seniors Colby Stein, Julianna Burnett, Isabelle Ramsland and Milam took first overall with a combined time of 1:54.11, which was over four seconds better than second-place Arcadia.
Stein picked up a win in the 100 Backstroke with a 1:02.31, while Ramsland touched the wall first in the 200 Fly with a 2:22.28.
In the 100 Breaststroke, Burnett clocked a 1:09.07 to pick up the win. Burnett would also take second in the 50 Free with a 26.01, while Milam would finish a hair behind Burnett with a 26.03.
To close out the meet, Stein, Burnett, Ramsland and senior Natalie Wasicko finished with a combined time of 1:47.56 in the 200 Free Relay to take second overall.
The Mustangs compete next at the Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships, held at the Graham Aquatic Center, starting on Thursday, February 14 through Sunday, February 17.
