Three From Women's Track and Field Tabbed USTFCCCA All-Academic, Mustangs Also Earn Team Award

NEW ORLEANS – Three members of the Stevenson University women's track and field program have been honored for their academic prowess by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCAA) recently.  Senior Allison Bishop, sophomore Rachel Panek and senior Jess Rega were all honored for their work in the classroom.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

In addition, the Mustang women's track and field program received the Team Academic Award, for compiling a 3.42 team cumulative GPA.
