Mustangs Break Four School Records at Paul Kaiser Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Stevenson women's track and field team broke four school records in their final tune-up before the conference championships at the Paul Kaiser Classic, hosted by Shippensburg. Freshman Brittany Appleby broke her own school record in the 1500m run with a time of 5:00.61 to take 13th place overall in the event.

Senior Josephine Adutwum broke her previous school mark in the 400m dash, crossing the line in 1:02.57. Adutwum also ran a personal best in the 200m dash with a time of 27.08 seconds.

Sophomore Claudia Lohr broke her previous school record in the 3000m steeplechase by just over 11 seconds with a time of 12:56.78, while freshman Monica Pozuc set a new school mark in the discus with a 29.29m toss.

Senior Monee Hill took 12th place overall in the 100m dash, clocking in at 13.13 seconds, while crossing the line in the 200m dash in 26.88 seconds. Adutwum took 15th in the 100 with a time of 13.23 seconds.

Senior Christyna Falden took 17th place in the shot put with a top toss of 10.25m, while Rebecca Moore took 20th with a throw of 10.10m.

The Mustangs compete next in the MAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Messiah, beginning on Thursday, April 30th.
