ANNVILLE, Pa. – Stevenson senior outside hitter Annika Schwartz was named the MAC Commonwealth women's volleyball Player of the Week for the second straight week on Monday. She has been Player of the Week four times this season.
On the week, Schwartz finished with 37 kills and 28 digs while hitting .310 in a 3-0 week. She opened the week facing Alvernia on Tuesday, recording 12 kills, with no errors on 22 attempts three service aces and six digs. Stevenson won 3-0 to finish 8-0 in conference play for the sixth straight season.
On Thursday, the mustangs defeated Franklin & Marshall 3-0. Schwartz had seven kills, two service aces and 11 digs. In a 3-2 win against Cabrini on Saturday, Schwartz had a big game, recording 18 kills and 11 digs.
This season thus far, Schwartz has 335 kills, 60 service aces and 287 digs while hitting .297.
Schwartz and the Mustangs are now gearing up to host a MAC Commonwealth semifinal on Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 pm at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
