Gates Runs Personal Best at NCAA Mideast Regionals, Earns All-Region Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Sophomore Emily Gates clocked a personal-best 6k time of 23:52, giving her 26th overall at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals, hosted by DeSales. Gates' 26th-place finish earned her a spot onto the Mideast All-Region team.

The Mustangs finished 20th out of 47 schools with a team score of 590. 

Freshman Mikhayla Sabo finished up her successful freshman season with a time of 24:39, giving her 63rd out of 341 runners. Sabo, who had two top-10 finishes on the season, became the first athlete in program history to win Rookie of the Year honors at the MAC Cross Country Championships.  

Junior Achol Odolla clocked a 25:18, while junior Cassandra Morris completed the course in 26:27.

Senior Mary Sam finished up her collegiate career with a 28:15. Senior Kayla Bias ran a 29:29 for the Mustangs. 

Felicia Koerner of Johns Hopkins won the individual title with a time of 22:32. Hopkins won its 11th-straight regional title with a team score of 36, placing five runners in the top-15.
